Jennifer Aniston breaks Instagram Guinness World Record

It’s not enough that Jennifer Aniston (@jenniferaniston) broke Instagram on Tuesday with her, she also just broke a world record.

The 50-year-old actress made her Instagram debut by posting a selfie with the former friends cast: Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblanc, Matthew Perry, and David Shwimmer.

The post got an immediate and rapid response from fans receiving thousand of likes and follows within the hour and eventually making her account crash.

Now it turns out, the actress did not only crash the app, but she also broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest time for an Instagram account to reach one million followers. Aniston broke the record in only five hours and 16 minutes.

The record was previously held by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Instagram account @Sussexroyal. The royal couple broke the record in five hours and 45 minutes.

Jennifer Aniston took to Instagram to respond to the news with a gif of her breaking a phone.

“I swear I didn’t mean to break it… Thank you guys for the kind, glitch welcome,” Aniston captioned it.

As of today, Jennifer Aniston has up to 11.6 million followers on Instagram and her first post had over 12 million likes.
