Facebook Stories Update May Have You Getting Tons More Reach

Subtle, but significant
Facebook, Stories, Update

Great news for Facebook page and brand owners, in one of the lesser publicized updates to the platforms' Snapchat clone 'Facebook Stories', it now allows you to broadcast your stories publically. Previously stories would only be visible to your friends.

This should allow brands and people alike to expand their organic reach significantly (at least for this content format), which sounds #blessed given Facebook's punishing algorithm updates over the years.

How do you use it? Simply post a story the way you normally would. Once done, view the story, click on the three dots in the top right and open 'Edit Story Settings' and change 'Friends' to 'Public'.
