Logan Paul Gives His Tips To Social Media Influencers
YouTube sensation Logan Paul kicked off the ITP Live Conference yesterday morning with some choice words for those looking to follow in his footsteps and one day become social media millionaires.
"It's very clear who are the stars. Do you want to go viral? Then it takes passion. It takes dedication and the ability to create quality content. I’ve been doing this for twelve years....it doesn’t just happen. I have an inherent love for video and creating.”
Logan has fast become a household name in online entertainment, an expert at creating video content that intrigues, entertains and above all resonates with Generation Z – demographic thousands of brands and advertisers are desperate to tap into. And therein lies his most valuable commodity.
“It’s so crazy because when I started social media, I never thought it would turn into this. I’m still in the baby stage of my career. And I’m already pretty big, so it’s really exciting. And as long as the right people keep working hard and creating next level content, we're good,” he said.
The iconic Youtuber began his career when he was 10 years old, uploading prankster-style videos of himself to the web. In his teenage years, he developed an audience on video platforms, like Vine and Youtube. His career as a digital influencer took off when he left college, to pursue opportunities in Los Angeles.
In the last 12 years, Paul has amassed a frankly staggering fanbase of over 50 million followers (and counting), across various social media platforms. As a brand, he's already worth at least several million dollars. Paparazzi follow him around LA, and fans queue up for literally hours to meet him. And the catalyst for this success is all down to refreshingly simple love of posting funny videos on the internet. Add a Maverick clothing line, music and film deals to that mix - and you've got a superstar heading for the fame stratosphere.
Paul was also quick to point out that, while passion is a key component to his success, he has a great team behind him.
“I surround myself with the right people. I literally have the best team,” Paul said, before crediting his videographer, manager and other members of the Logan Paul team. "I cannot do this alone. It might look like it, but literally, everyone on our team is the best. I just happen to be the face.”
And for a parting message? "Social media influencing is not a bubble...It’s here to stay, man. But I want to go beyond that. I want to leave a global mark. A mark that can change the way people look at other humans."
