As an individual who has witness loved ones battle depression, anxiety and other mental medical conditions I understand the healing powers of open discussion when a friend, relative or colleague is going through a hard time.

When it comes to mental health, many subjects are considered too taboo to talk about in public, let alone in a room full of strangers. The subject is often changed once it is brought up in conversation. But once someone is able to voice their struggles, the transformation of their mental state is remarkable.

This Friday, October 5th and Saturday, October 6th you're invited to join Her Highness Sayyida Basma Al Said(@basmaaalsaid) at the International Forum on Psychology Event, at the Kempinski Hotel in Muscat, Oman.

Organized by the Whispers of Serenity clinic under the patronage of Her Highness - a well-known psychotherapist and hypnotherapist who is known for her efforts of raising awareness about mental health in Oman and the Gulf region - fourteen motivational speakers will share and inspire the audience with their success stories on overcoming their battles with mental health.

... .... I don’t care

Proceeds from this event will go towards building a child abuse app (using data from an already existing book) aimed to spread awareness amongst children and their parents to help prevent child abuse cases in the future.

Join us for an inspiring and moving evening where we will not only raise proceeds but also raise a voice. For more information, visit @basmaaalsaid on Instagram.
