Could this be a game-changer for Twitter?
With live video establishing itself as the fastest growing platform in social media, Twitter is attempting to drastically expand its online reach with the launch of a 24/7 streaming service with news giant Bloomberg.
Expected to launch this weekend and aimed at its 328 million users, Twitter's live news service will, of course, be advertising supported; giving the platform an important extra revenue stream as it ups the focus on its video offerings.
Feel like you've seen this partnership before? Well remembered...but it's not quite the same. Indeed, while Twitter did show the US Presidential debates alongside Bloomberg last year, this non-stop, free streaming of 'original' content, represents a first for the social media network.
