Been to see Angry Birds, The Movie 2 recently? Thought one of your favorite characters sounded a bit too much like a well-known, Dubai-based content creator?

You were right!

A little birdie tipped us off a few weeks ago that Ahmed Al Nasheet (a.k.a. @DVLZGame) would be doing the voice-over for a very famous Angry Bird character…

That’s right, Al Nasheet was "playing" the role of Alex in Angry Birds, The Movie 2 in Arabic (while Lil Rel Howery did the voice-over for the character in the English version of the film.

"It was my first movie ever that I worked on. The experience was amazing," Al Nasheet said.

"I worked with the guys at Sony Pictures Animation and at Empire Movies to bring Alex in Arabic to life. The amount of support I got from Sony, from Empire, from the fans was insane."

He was quick to point out many people shares Arabic quotes on their Twitter account and uploaded snippets of the film to their Stories on Instagram.

Huge congrats to Ahmed Al-Nasheet for landing his first feature film voice-over. We're looking forward to seeing (or hearing?) more of you in future Arabic versions of blockbuster hits.
