TikTok has certainly taken over the social media world since social distancing regulations have come into effect around the globe.
Celebrities… they’re just like us!
This week, audiences were treated to a plethora of celebrity video content on the app.
For starters, multiple brands have now attempted to make viral coronavirus dances to spread awareness and some cheer to the global community.
Proctor & Gamble has enlisted the help of US TikTok superstar Charli D’Amelio to take part in their #DistanceDance campaign. D’Amelio who is currently the most followed personality on TikTok, posted the dancing video which now has over 5 million views.
@charlidamelio Stay home & do the ##distancedance. Tag me & the hashtag in your video. P&G will donate to Feeding America & Matthew 25 for first 3M videos ##PGPartner
Meanwhile, actor Jack Black has shared his first video on TikTok, in which he performs a “Quarantine Dance” dressed in a cowboy hat, boots and a pair of black shorts.
The video, which has more than 265,000 likes, was captioned: “reallifeathome #distancedance #happyathome #boredathome.”
TikTok gives content creators the ability to create videos that are seemingly ‘raw’ and ‘real’ without having to worry about the filtered apperances which other platforms are known for.
Do you think that more brands should join TikTok to promote their products and campaigns?
