Louise Nichol

Profile

Louise Nichol is a Dubai-based freelance journalist, presenter and host known to have been the editor-in-chief for Harper’s Bazaar Arabia till 2018. She is also a coach at Crank, a boutique fitness studio in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Background 

Nichol studied politics, philosophy and English at Durham University in the UK. She later completed her postgraduate diploma in magazine journalism from Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media and Culture. Nichol moved to the UAE from the United Kingdom in 2005. She worked for over nine years as the editor-in-chief of Harper’s Baazar Arabia. The former editor-in-chief is a mother to three kids, Leo, Fox and Kit. 

Work

The freelance journalist currently also works as a consultant for luxury fashion and retail in the GCC. She MC’d with Andrew Neil for the Arabian Business magazine’s first London Achievement Awards in 2019 and was also the host at the Arab Luxury World conference, Dubai. She writes for Business of Fashion and was part of BVLGARI’s regional campaign alongside celebrities Aseel, Tara Emad, Dorra Zarrouk and Nadine Nassib Njeim. Nichol has overseen multiple shoots during her time at Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, including cover shoots with Rihanna, Janet Jackson and Kim Kardashian-West. She is a micro influencer with over 41.2K followers on Instagram and 2607 posts.
