The talented personality has starred in multiple Broadways including The Lion King, Hamilton, Pippin, Jesus Christ Superstar and Motown The Musical. Syndee was alongside John legend in 2018 in the Grammy nominated and Emmy winning cast of NBC’s LIVE Jesus Christ Superstar.

Along with theatre, singing, dancing and acting, Syndee loves to provide coaching workshops for acting, performing and singing for the talented young artists who are passionate about being performers. The artist also has a YouTube channel where she provides advice and tips on being a performer!

Syndee’s love for performing sparked in her at just 3 years old! She distinctly remembers her father saying how Syndee could sing before she could even properly speak! Michael Jackson is her true inspiration behind the thought of pursuing her dream. Watching his performances, especially his iconic piece “Thriller”, truly stirred something in the Broadway artist! She expressed how she was “terrified but also mesmerized” at the same time.
Starring in The Lion King Musical as the character ‘Nala’, was truly one of Syndee’s biggest dreams. She expressed how she could see a clear vision of her passionately singing the song and feeling like that stage is where she rightly belonged!

“So, I’ve always loved performing and I was obsessed with The Lion King and it came out in 1994 and the music was just so vibrant, and the film was so vibrant and impactful for me. I was just obsessed with the whole thing.”, the artist mentioned.

After auditioning for the role, Syndee’s dreams finally came true, but only after 3 long years of waiting for a call-back.

Further, the artist expressed how Broadway is hard work. “Broadway is the NFL of sports”, she expressed. She continues, “We get hit the hardest, we do the most work and we get paid the least. Just because we’re limited by capacity and the ten blocks that is New York.”

The renowned artist also reveals how mistakes are absolutely normal in the world of Broadway. She believes making mistakes, especially during live shows helps you learn skills including flexibility, durability, endurance and sustainability.

Syndee, with a grateful heart, completely owes it to her family for her joyfulness and success in life. “My father never said to me that anything was a bad idea. If I said Dad I wanna walk on the moon, he said “A good idea, darling””, the artist warmly expresses.
