Searching for the song stuck in your head? Search it up on Spotify!

If you’re constantly singing the 7 words you remember from the catchy song you heard on the radio, Spotify’s latest feature will help you find the rest of it!

Searching for the song stuck in your head? Search it up on Spotify!

Spotify is rolling out their latest feature and it’s right there at your fingertips to help you find the song you’re currently obsessed with. The feature is pretty self-explanatory; you type in lyrics from a song you heard elsewhere into Spotify’s search bar and the app will proceed to display songs that prove to be a potential match.

The displayed songs that are a potential match with the inserted lyrics will have a ‘Lyrics Match’ tag mentioned under it.

Although Google, Shazam and YouTube are readily available to aid the hunt of finding the song stuck in your head, it doesn’t always meet up to the standards, especially if you have a vague idea of the tone and lines of the song. Since 2018, even Apple Music allowed users to search for songs on the app using lyrics.

Earlier in June, prior to this new feature, Spotify introduced real-time lyrics to 26 markets that were provided by Musixmatch.

Multiple users have experienced the disheartening feeling of having to let go after trying their luck in finding the song, and later making peace with the fact that they might never listen to it again. Spotify, with their latest feature, hopes to smooth out this issue!
