Arms flailing in an elegant poise, Mony belts out to the symphony and then cut; the crazy dance and chaos ensue. In the latest Expensive Tastes episode, we catch the dynamic duo Mony and a rather reluctant Omar at the Dubai Dance academy.
“As you can see, I am alone, and I have been trying to convince Omar for three days to be part of this episode with no results,” chimes Mony. Despite participating by doing a few stretches, Omar retires to work behind the scenes, sharing that he is there to provide full support as Mony resumes her training.
The Dubai Dance Academy owner and instructor Reiko M-Cheong joins Hamda, also an instructor, in a mission to equip Mony with ballet skills. As the trio begins few exercises, Mony starts to recognize the struggle. The training then shifts its focus onto jumps and turns, where Mony has to ensure that every step is performed gracefully as Reiko reminds her to put on a “big and beautiful smile.”
