This isn’t the first time Bernstein has been accused of content theft.

WeWoreWhat Founder Danielle Bernstein accused of stealing outfit ideas from TikToker Kelsey Kotzur

You may want to think twice before stealing someone’s content.

Danielle Bernstein – a controversial fashion influencer and the founder of WeWoreWhat – has come under fire after TikToker Kelsey Kotzur filmed a video claiming Danielle had stolen outfit ideas from her. The video has received over 1.4 million likes – with many viewers waiting for Danielle to respond to the allegations.

Danielle rose to fame in 2011 with her blog WeWoreWhat. With the support of her 2.6 million fanbase on her @weworewhat Instagram account, Danielle started her own e-commerce label under the same name and has accumulated a 185K following on her @shopweworewhat account. Her label’s success gave her a platform to launch her book This is Not a Fashion Story – which made the New York Times Bestseller List.

Despite her many successes, the influencer is constantly tumbling in and out of controversy: Kotzur isn’t the first creator to accuse Bernstein of idea theft. In 2018, Diet Prada – an Instagram account that exposes people in fashion who steal ideas – accused Bernstein of copying Foundrae, Retrouvai, Bondeye Jewelry, and Tiffany & Co in her recently launched jewellery collection Lulu DK x WeWoreWhat.

Bernstein has yet to make any comments on the most recent theft allegations. Instead, she is focused on work: Bernstein recently made her TikTok debut by posting a video sharing the growth and success of her fashion brand. The video – however – received massive backlash from viewers – who are pushing the influencer to break her silence. The account has since turned off its comments.
