To celebrate World Immunization Week, TikTok has announced new efforts to raise awareness on COVID-19 vaccines. TikTok has developed a series of educational content that it will release across its platform from April 24 to April 30.
TikTok seeks to motivate TikTok users to use the hashtag #VaccinatedFor and share their reasons for getting vaccinated. The #VaccinatedFor initiative will be displayed on a user’s Discover page in order to inspire other users to get vaccinated and to instill a sense of safety amongst its community.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is set to host a live-stream on April 29 – which will feature Katherine O’Brien – the Director of the Department of Immunization, Vaccines, and Biologicals. O’Brien will share factual information about the safety and security of its vaccines and will also host a Q&A session for viewers.
