Filipino, Indian, and Pakistani drivers will now be able to convert their driving licenses in Dubai without taking any lessons. Before, if a license from a different country was not approved by Road Transport Authority (RTA), you were not able to drive in the UAE. However, now the ‘Golden Chance’ scheme allows expats to covert their license by applying for the conversion – you just need to take a theory and road test.

If you are from India, Pakistan, and the Philippines, the ‘Golden Chance’ gives you the opportunity to get on the road in no time! Now, you never have to be late for work again or for a casting as you can get to and from locations.

Under the new scheme, individual customers, citizens, and residents in Dubai, who are above the legal age and medically fit, are eligible to apply for this service, as per the RTA website.

Also note that if you’ve obtained your license from certain countries, including Lithuania and Greece, you will need to withdraw your foreign license to drive in Dubai.
