Madison Beer and Vanessa Hudgens just launched their very own skincare brand called Know Beauty. The pair’s brand and skincare philosophy is rooted in what they call “DNA personalization.”
“We both have had such a long skincare journey. We were like, ‘There should be an easier way to approach skincare, something that allows you to know what is right for your personal skin, because it’s different for everyone,’” Hudgens told BAZAAR.com.
Hudgens and Beer collaborated with dermatologist Karen Kagha to make their skincare brand come to life. “Every day, I am seeing people coming in wanting to know about what they can do for their skin today and for their skin in the future, and that’s where the DNA comes in,” Kagha shared. “We’re looking at 46 chromosomes and specifically analyzing seven skin categories. Their results give them information on what their skin is more prone to develop and areas they need to be focusing on in the future.”
The full Know Beauty experience involves the client submitting a “DNA kit” for submitting to allow their team to analyze your skin genetics across 7 key categories: collagen renewal, pigmentation and sun damage, antioxidant support, skin sensitivity, and advanced glycation end productions. However, the brand also has its products for sale without having to do the full DNA experience.
Hudgens recently did a “nighttime skincare routine” video with Harper’s Bazaar, to show off new Know Beauty products and how she uses them.
