TikTok extends support to the National Cyber Security Alliance

On the occasion of back to school season, TikTok has announced its collaboration with the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) to support their Cybersecurity Education and Career Resources Library – an informative resource hub to promote cybersecurity education and help cybersecurity career aspirants.

Lisa Plaggemier – Interim Executive Director at NCSA – highlighted Cybersecurity as one of the most top growing career fields and the growing need of diversity within the field:

“Cybersecurity is one of the hottest, fastest-growing sectors in tech, which has created a huge gap of qualified professionals and lack of diversity in the talent pool. Strategic and coordinated efforts can make cybersecurity careers accessible for everyone, which is why we’re so proud to launch the Cybersecurity Education and Career Resources Library alongside industry-leading partners. As a fast-growing global entertainment and technology company, TikTok can help us reach and engage a broad audience around the variety of opportunities in cybersecurity.”

The Cybersecurity Education and Career Resources Library also includes a comprehensive guide on various topics that include: career consultations for K-12 and higher education students, job training tools for career changers and veterans, and mentorship programs.

Roland Cloutier – Chief Security Officer at TikTok – shared his joy over the new collaboration and asserted their focus on building a safer world for their users:

“Millions of technical and non-technical opportunities are available for professionals in security, privacy, and safety. We’re proud to collaborate with industry leaders like the NCSA to unlock resources and pathways for people of all backgrounds to help us build a safer, more secure world.”
