The college admissions scandal involving actress, Lori Loughlin, and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli was one of the biggest stories of the past few years. The scandal got people thinking about socioeconomic disparities in the U.S. and the prompted people to question the college admissions process.

The couple spent half a million dollars in bribes to get their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, into the University of Southern California. Loughlin got two months in prison along with a $150,000 fine, and 100 hours of community service (VanityFair). Giannulli got a $250,000 fine, 250 hours of community service, and a five-month sentence at Federal Correctional Institution Lompoc (VanityFair).

The couple’s daughter, Olivia, was an extremely successful YouTuber before she took a break due to her parents’ situation. The 21-year-old took to TikTok to share her thoughts about kickstarting her channel again.

Olivia captioned a video: “like this if i should bring back my #vlogzzzzz also tried to show u guys this natural makeup look (i can do a tutorial if anyone wants) Kk bye”

Many commented supporting a comeback, prompting her to respond: “Thank you so much for the sweet comment. I just want to say, first of all, comments like this actually make my day. I’m just really grateful,” Olivia said. “And also, okay, I will. I guess I will come back to YouTube. What? Ah!”

Olivia’s announcement comes one day after her mother was released from prison. The ex-YouTuber also recently spoke out for the first time on Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Red Table Talk.”
