Islamic New Year 2023
Hijri New Year, also known as the Islamic New Year, is the first day of Muharram which is the first month in the Islamic calendar. It is the beginning of a new lunar year when the Prophet Muhammad emigrated from Mecca to Medina with his companions.
Astronomers and speculators have forecasted the new year could fall on Wednesday the 19th of July. However, the UAE has already announced the date for the public holiday in the country.
