Ever since the globally esteemed NFT artist Super Buddha came into the ITP Live office, we have not stopped talking about NFTs.
If you don’t already know – NFT is digital art that is sold as a form of investment over the block chain.
‘The First Tweet’ – which sold for $2.9 Million in March – has been the most searched for NFT this year, according to Digit.fyi.
Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s Founder and CEO, auctioned his first ever tweet as a Non-Fungible Token (NFT). It was originally uploaded on March 21 of 2006 and read “just setting up my twttr”. The tweet was bought using ether cryptocurrency for a roaring $2.9 Million.

Throughout 2021, interest in Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) increased dramatically, with many Celebrities and Artists releasing their own series of virtual work.
The influx of interest has caused the cost of NFTs to skyrocket, with 2021 becoming a record-setting year in terms of sale prices.
Memes alone can now be sold for over half a Million dollars. Some – which at this point could be considered internet classics – sold this year have included the ‘Disaster Girl’, which sold for $473,000 and ‘Nyan Cat’, which sold for $590,000.
