On January 26, 2020, a tragic helicopter crash took the lives of Kobe Bryant, daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, as well as seven others. Recently, Vanessa Bryant took to her Instagram story to discuss how she’s been dealing with the loss of her husband and daughter.
“Grief is a messed up cluster of emotions. One day you’re in the moment laughing and the next day you don’t feel like being alive,” she wrote. “I want to say this for people struggling with grief and heartbreaking loss. Find your reason to live. I know it’s hard. I look at my daughters and I try to push through that feeling for them. Death is guaranteed but living the rest of the day isn’t. Find your reason.”
Bryant has worked tirelessly the past year to keep the memory of her family members alive. The 38-year-old has three other daughters, the youngest being one year old.
In August, Bryant shared a heartfelt message for Kobe’s birthday via Instagram.
