HOPE PROBE – EMIRATES MISSION TO MARS

Seven months ago, on July 20th, 2020, the Hope Probe left the earth from Tanegashemia Space Center in Japan. After 493.5 million km journey finally on Feb 9th the Hope Probe is closer than ever to Mars’s orbit.

The million miles journey has a success rate of 50% as numerous missions in the past have failed. So here’s the pledge for UAE to make history and turn Sheikh Zayed’s 50 year old dream into a reality on Feb 9th at 7.30pm UAE time. This is the moment when the Hope Probe will approach the red planet and enter a critical phase of 27 minutes called the Mars Orbit Insertion.

As we anticipate the mission’s success, the UAE invites its citizens and the Arab world to engage and participate by sending their best wishes through the sequence of emojis. Emojis have become a universal language and is being used to spread the message of the pledge. symbolises support and well-wishes for the success of the Hope Probe; the Hope Probe symbol and; symbolising the red planet Mars. In addition to the emojis hashtags – #HopeForHope and #ArabsToMars –  are being used by social media influencers and content creators as the countdown to a historical event begins today.

The efforts of 200 Emirati engineers, who have worked tirelessly for over six years, and their 5.5 million working hours are at stake as the entire nation watches and wishes them success on the 50th anniversary year for United Arab Emirates.
