Omar was pushed to fame when the news of him being ‘deported’ from Saudi Arabia for being too handsome became viral. The actor later revealed that he was only asked to leave a festival he was attending in Saudi Arabia and not the country. The visitors at the festival recognised him from previous modelling gigs, which resulted in a crowd forming around him. The religious police in the country, who monitor the interaction between opposite sexes, had asked him to leave due to the female crowd that surrounded him for autographs. This news increased his followers on social media platforms, and he has over 1.3 million followers on Instagram.
Omar Borkan studied Hotel Management at the Faculty Executive Hotels International Institute of Hotel Management.
