Evolving artist and travel enthusiast, Quincy Brown, joins S1 on ‘Uncut with S1’ where he gets candid about his artistic journey and experiences that carry a lesson with it.

With the drop of his first mixtape “Nothing Special” in 2009, Quincy has visibly climbed up the ladder with his collaboration with artists including G-Eazy and French Montana. The growing artist has starred in the 2015 film, ‘Brotherly Love’ and is also a regular on the Television musical drama, ‘Star’.
Quincy’s love for music comes naturally to him, considering he was born into a family with an acquired taste in music. According to Quincy, music truly brought his family together. Since music is a wide spectrum with different genres and cultures involved, Quincy emphasizes how he loves to dive into different genres and show appreciation towards different cultures with his music. Quincy is able to consistently find joy in his art since he creates music speaks to him.
With his music and acting career on the side, Quincy loves to explore other paths of interest as well. Being a passionate travel enthusiast, the freedom of travelling allows Quincy to seek inspiration for new artistic projects, however, the singer truly misses travelling due to the ongoing pandemic travel restrictions.
Being the new face of Coach’s new C001 Collection, the rising actor and musical artist claims he would love to further explore the fashion world. He believes that fashion is a form of expression that he would love to adapt and showcase in his lifestyle.
“It almost like screams at people when your mouth is closed. You can fully create a whole conversation without saying anything, fresh off of an outfit. The power in that to me, is dope!”
Quincy further talks about a few of the exciting projects he is part of! Creating a short film called ‘Run Loubi Run’ for Christian Louboutin’s campaign for worldwide sneakerheads and producing, directing and acting in it is one of them for sure! Always curious about tech works and being a huge tech enthusiast, Quincy is also a Google ambassador for their Pixel Smartphone. He completely vouches for its high quality as he reveals how he shot his music video ‘Snuggle Up’ entirely on the Pixel Smartphone, which is impressive to say the least!
Being the oldest of six siblings, Quincy advices his younger audience to be patient and not afraid to mess up. He expresses how seeking support from people around you is necessary in some aspects. According to the artist, staying true to yourself and who you are is crucial in the long-run and helps you stay consistent.
Mr. Brown reveals how it’s about the solution, not the problem. “Keep talking about the problem, that’s how much longer it’s going to last.”
His latest single ‘Aye Yo’ which was premiered last month, was creatively produced and shot in front of a green screen which also allowed Quincy to explore different fashion choices, whilst showcasing his carefree personality.
