Instagram’s newest influencers are in their 80s. Hsu Husiu-e and her husband Chang Wan-ji have been operating a laundry in Taiwan for the past 70 years. Over the decades, mounds and mounds of skirts and suits and shirts and socks have been left behind by forgetful patrons or people who simply moved away.

So, I’d been trying to express my gratitude by preparing some small gifts to our friends, to those who like ’Wan-Ji‘, ‘Sho-Er', and our 'Wan-Sho Laundry'. And when I finally managed to get those gifts from the manufacturer, the followers had already hit 230k, which was way more than I’d expected! But, there’re only 30 small gifts to give away. This is a badge patch. The design is inspired by our old washing machine and the words on our laundry bag. It’s written 'Wan-Sho Laundry' in Chinese. I'm not a designer, so it's probably not a pretty design (embarrassed laugh). This can be glued or sewn onto any of your old clothes or bags. I would like to share the idea that “By a little change, we can give old clothes a new life'. With this patch, everyone can be a spreader of the spirit of 'Wan-Sho Laundry' all around the world! Enter the couple’s grandson Reef Chang. He decided it was time for his grandparents to start having some sartorial fun. So he convinced them to pose in the clothes. And he posted the pictures on social media.
The couple enjoys nothing more than playing dress up with whatever they find and the results are often seriously stylish.
In recent weeks, the pair have become Instagram sensations, racking up a whopping 96.7k followers thanks to their hilarious and fashion-forward antics.
The couple said that their various customers have left behind roughly 300 pieces of clothing in nearly 60 years, giving them a whole new wardrobe full of weird and wacky items.
The reception on social media has been both overwhelming and unexpected and Reef has said that the couple now get recognized on the street! The heartwarming images are reminders that we all should remain young and playful at heart!
