Disney Plus recently made an exciting announcement that has to do with the reunion of the original cast members of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series for an exclusive 45-minute show! The show is expected to premiere on December 11th on the streamer and will feature holiday classics, popular hits and an entertaining medley of Hanukkah favorites.
Tim Federle, inspired by the High School Musical Film Series proceeded to create High School Musical: The Musical: The Series!
“The holidays remind us of the universal importance of family and loved ones. The cast of ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ is its own kind of family, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to share their favorite holiday music and traditions with our viewers”, expressed Tim Federle, in a report by Variety.
According to Deadline, the regulars in the show including Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Larry Saperstein, Julia Lester, Dara Renee, Frankie Rodriguez, Joe Serafini, Mark St. Cyr and Kate Reinders will treat the audience by singing holiday staples and sharing warm memories from their childhoods, traditions and time spent with their families over the season, along with New Year’s Resolutions.
The Holiday Special’s soundtrack will be revealed around November 20th, states Deadline.
Executively produced by original Creator of the Series and Executive Producer, Tim Federle and Ashley Edens, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ Holiday Special, hopes to bring a warm visual experience to their audience!
