Michelle Obama’s exclusive Spotify podcast will now stream on other platforms

Spotify climbed up a higher level after they announced their exclusive podcast deal with the Obamas’ production studio, Higher Ground, introducing the one and only ‘The Michelle Obama Podcast’.

Being originally introduced and published on Spotify, the podcast will now stream on multiple other podcast-listening platforms. Although the team hasn’t released solid details about other platforms that will stream the show, the potential ones in line include Apple, Google, Stitcher and iHeart.

Today, I’m feeling extra grateful for the conversations I shared with loved ones during the first season of The #MichelleObamaPodcast. And while the pandemic certainly affected the tone and content of these conversations, I will say each episode really felt like a true reflection of the kind of discussions I’ve always had with the special people in my life. I hope that our conversations—whether about being married, being a parent, being a citizen, or just being—inspired you to reach out to the people in your life and share how you feel. Because when enough people open up and have vulnerable conversations, amazing things can happen. That’s how we begin to break down these barriers that too often get in our way — by opening up and listening to one another. I want to thank all of my family and friends who came on my podcast throughout this season, but most of all, I want to thank all of you for listening. I’ve truly loved reading your comments and hearing from all of you. That’s why I’m excited to share that the first season of The #MichelleObamaPodcast is now available across all podcast platforms—wherever you listen, I’d love to hear about some of the conversations you’ve been having at home lately. Let me know in the comments below.

First Lady Michelle, now being a recent podcast personality as well, makes use of her new platform to engage in an interesting collection of conversations, including the idea of race in America, the stigma around depression and mental health, Michelle’s childhood and even some intriguing relationship advice with the challenges and joys of marriage.

American TV Host and Comedian, Conan O’Brien, Dr. Sharon Malone, Michelle’s older brother Craig, Journalist Michelle Norris and Barack Obama himself are a few of the lucky guests that got to sit down and engage in a conversation with Ms. Obama!

So excited for you to hear the first episode of The #MichelleObamaPodcast with @BarackObama! I wanted to start this season off by discussing a relationship that a lot of us are spending a lot of time thinking about right now and that’s our relationship with our community and our country. Given everything that’s going on in the world, I think that these days, a lot of people are questioning just where and how they can fit into a community. And how you answer those questions is unique to you, your experiences, and your communities––but the important thing is that you do go through the process of reflecting and reaching out to loved ones to talk through what you’re feeling and what you’re hoping for. Because once you do those things, I think you’ll have a better sense of your community, your country, and yourselves. And if enough of us can do that—and if enough of us can empathize with one another—then over time––and it will take a long time, we can come up with some solutions and create the change we’re all hoping for.
