1. H.E Basma Al Said 

H.E Basma Al Said announced that she is joining the UN Women’s mission to achieve full gender equality – and states that 2021 has the potential to be a ‘landmark year’ to reduce gender bias and inequality.

2. Mony Helal 

Former Miss Egypt Winner Mony Helal used International Women’s Day as an opportunity to promote her UAE-grown fashion brand Enti Boutique.

3. Ghida Arnaout 

Ghida Arnaout took an alternative approach to International Women’s Day. Instead of celebrating it, she used her platform to vocalize that women in her country are still marginalized and receive unequal treatment. She explains why gender inequality is still a huge part of the female experience – referencing issues such domestic violence and sexual harassment.
