Loren Gray will be releasing her song ‘Nobody To Love’ alongside TELYKast – a musical group – on 12th March. The new single is a successor to her debut music video ‘Alone’ that was released on her YouTube channel in September 2020.
TELYKast shared a snippet from the upcoming music video yesterday via their Instagram account:
The 18-year-old singer rose to prominence on TikTok at the age of 15 – and is currently one of the most followed creators on the platform with a staggering 51.5 million followers. Gray’s soaring career on TikTok allowed her to move to Los Angeles to pursue a music career. In 2018, Gray signed to Virgin Records and Capitol Records – which led to the release of her singles ‘My Story’ and ‘Queen’ – with the latter being her most-viewed YouTube video to date with over 17 million views.
Gray’s status as the fourth-highest earning TikToker – earning $2.6 million annually – has opened the door to both celebrity collabs and business opportunities: the TikTok star has most notably featured in Taylor Swift’s ‘The Man’ music video and also owns her own jewelry brand ‘&always’.
Gray’s tremendous success on TikTok is a perfect example of how social media can turn normal people into the world’s biggest stars. Gray’s transition from TikTok to the music industry also serves to inspire all the musicians and singers who are turning to TikTok to get their big break.
Will you be the next Loren Gray?
