Singer Layla Kardan to feature as a speaker for the ITP Live 2021 Conference on March 30.

Layla Kardan, a UAE-based music artist, will feature as a speaker for the Invisible Haters panel at the ITP Live 2021 Conference – ‘The Power of Female Influence’ – on March 30, 2021. Kardan will be joined by Marriam Mossalli and Raha Moharrak to discuss cyberbullying, online harassment, and unrealistic beauty standards on social media.

A true global citizen – Kardan is an Australian national who currently produces music in the United Arab Emirates. Kardan’s appreciation and exposure to a diverse-range of cultures brings a fresh and edgy approach to her music: a performer from a young age – Kardan’s music has been inspired by artists such as Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and Nina Simone.

Kardan’s debut album is titled ‘Saved’ – and features undertones of jazz and soul music mixed with Middle Eastern and poetic culture. The singer and songwriter’s music has won her multiple awards – including Emirates Woman Artist of the Year 2016 and the Esquire Middle East Music Award 2018.

Kardan has also performed at a wide-range of events such as The Emirates Airline Jazz Festival, The Dubai International Film Festival, Art Dubai, The Global Education Forum, The Emirates Literature Festival, and The Meydan World Cup. Moreover, she has performed exclusively for a wide-range of brands including Louis Vuitton, Piaget, Dior, Cartier, Vogue Arabia, Esquire Arabia, and Harper’s Bazaar Arabia.

Internationally, she has collaborated with well-known producers as well as established artists from Sweden, Australia, and New Zealand.
