Desi Perkins has finally launched her highly-anticipated skin-care brand DEZI SKIN on April 8.
The beauty guru has kickstarted her new business venture by releasing her first skin care product Claro Que C Vitamin C Glow Serum – which is infused with a Mexican plum fruit, a reference to Perkins’ Mexican heritage.
Perkins announced the launch to her 4.3 million followers on Instagram:
“As I watch this video, I remember little Desi with all of her big dreams. My mind was always full of so many different visions. My ultimate dream was to have an empire that housed all my visions and I wasn’t willing to give up on it. It’s an incredible feeling to be able to see your visions come to life and even more emotional when I think of how far I’ve come. I’m so excited to finally be announcing @deziskin”.
The past year has been tough for the influencer: not only has she had a long and stressful journey with her fertility, but she has also worked on multiple business ventures, including the launch of her sunglasses brand Dezi. The influencer – however – has successfully come out on top – with two namesake brands:
“It was a lot. I literally had just given birth to my son, Ocean, and 10 minutes later, my husband Steven looked at me while he was on Zoom with the team and asks, ‘Are you ready to launch?’ It all happened so fast, but it was so magical. To be honest, I always had the plan to launch skin care, but because of my collaborations with sunglass brands in the past, I really knew what I was doing with eyewear. The skin care has been in the making; it just took two years to come to life”.
