Zach ‘ZHC’ Hsieh will be hosting the upcoming Season 2 of Instant Influencer. The new season will feature aspiring art influencers – with one lucky winner taking home a $100,000 cash prize.
James Charles previously hosted Season 1 of Instant Influencer in 2020 – which featured influential guests such as Nikita Dragun, Bretman Rock and Paris Hilton. Charles was dropped as the series host – however – after he allegedly sent lewd messages to underage minors on social media. In his YouTube apology video titled “Holding Myself Accountable”, Charlies denied knowing the real ages of the minors:
Susanne Daniels – YouTube’s Global Head of Original Content – revealed that the new Season 2 host Hsieh would spotlight creators within the arts industry:
“We are excited to expand upon the beauty and makeup themes of the first season and introduce a more diverse cast of competitors that are artists in a variety of different mediums. It was always our vision to incorporate different artistic points of view into the series, and we can’t wait for viewers to see all new forms of creative expression.”
In a statement to the Variety, Heish shared his joy over his casting for Instant Influencer:
“I am super excited to host Season 2 of ‘Instant Influencer. I’m so grateful for this huge opportunity given to me by YouTube to pay it forward to other up-and-coming artists. I can’t wait to show everyone our first YouTube originals show!”
Instant Influencer recently began their talent search on April 15 and will be on the look-out for contestants who are above the age of 18 and live in the US: Season 2 will be 8 episodes and will feature 10 aspiring content creators who will compete in a series of challenges that will surely test their artistry and innovation. The winner will get the opportunity to collaborate and create content with Hsieh – who is a renowned YouTube content creator himself .
