Is it difficult for you to interact with other users on Twitch’s chat feature? Well – Twitch has some good news for you!
Twitch has just announced their latest feature Chat Replies – which will allow users to create threaded replies on Twitch chats. Twitch began beta-testing threaded conversations in August; after receiving positive user feedback, Twitch has officially launched the Chat Replies feature to the public.
Chat Replies help you keep the conversation going, even when chat is going off.

Chat Replies helps users converse with other users in a threaded conversation format in order to minimize confusion. Users will now be able to view or initiate a thread in two key ways:
- Hover the mouse over the message you wish to reply to and click on the thread icon at the right side of the message. You can then initiate a thread with the other user. If a thread has already been added to the conversation, tap on ‘See Thread’ to read through a thread and share your reply.
- In the chat bar, type in the username of the person you would like to respond to. Choose the username from the list of usernames that will pop-up. You can click the up and down arrows or use ALT (Windows users) / OPTION (Mac users) + the UP or DOWN arrows to go through the user’s previous messages and choose the relevant message you wish to reply to. Press ALT (Windows users) / OPTION (Mac users) and ENTER simultaneously to share your reply.
To leave the Chat Replies feature: simply click the x button on the right-side of the display box.
