In a recent podcast That Was Fun? With Addison and Sheri, TikTok influencers Addison Rae and Avani Gregg opened up about their scariest fan experiences.
Rae recalled one experience where a fan stopped by her home in the middle of the night – which frightened the young influencer and made her cry:
“I just heard something like a car door slam really loud outside in front of my house. I’m like, ‘Oh, what the heck?’ Like, you don’t really think much about it. Cause you’re like, you know, you live around people obviously. And then all of a sudden, someone screams from the top of their lungs and they were like ‘Addison!!’ and it was like a man. And it was midnight. I ran upstairs as fast as I could. I was crying. I was shaking. I was like, ‘Dad, I just heard someone scream my name. My room had sliding doors so it didn’t have a lock or anything, so anyone could just come in. My heart fell to my toes, I was scared”
Gregg chimed in with her own scary experiences and shared one particular incident where she was followed by two older men after she left Hype House to walk back to her new apartment: the men followed her to the apartment parking garage and blocked the entrance to the elevator so she couldn’t escape. Gregg revealed that she stayed in her car to wait for them to leave. however – the two men never left and instead came up to her and said they were fans.
Gregg also shared another experience where her phone had been hacked and SIM-swapped – which led to the hacker sending her family death threats and uploading “terrorist videos” to her social media account:
“They texted my family, ‘I know where you live and I’m going to come murder Avan. I was like, ‘Of course they know where I live, they SIM-swapped the card on my phone!’ I was like, okay we gotta move.”
