Jeffree Starr finally opens up about scary car crash that has forced him into a back brace

YouTuber and beauty mogul Jeffree Starr has uploaded his first YouTube video after he and his friend Daniel Lucas were involved in a dangerous car accident that flipped their vehicle three times. Starr’s latest YouTube video titled The TRUTH About My Car Accident takes fans on a nail-biting journey through his life post-incident, including the time he spent at the hospital.

On April 16, Starr released an image of him and Lucas at the hospital, with Starr pictured wearing a neck brace:

Starr posted an update about his condition on Saturday, stating in an Instagram Story that three of his vertebrae were no longer attached and that he would have to wear a back brace for the next few months. He also told his fans that while he was being released from the hospital that day, Lucas would need to stay due to the potential need for surgery.

Star commented further on the accident:

“Now the weather yesterday was really crazy. There was a lot of black ice on the road. If you dont know what that is, it’s crystal clear ice on top of the asphalt. My car hit it. I was driving — no we were not speeding. We hit it and [the car] went down off the highway onto the snow bank and we flipped and I think that was one of the scariest moments thinking it’s over, literally”.

After a month, Star has finally opened up about the car crash and said that it was “one of the scariest things” that has ever happened to him. He also revealed that he received hurtful comments online that wished he and Lucas would have never survived the crash:

“So many of our supporters and family and friends, obviously, were so concerned, had so much empathy, but I think we won the Guinness Book of World Records for most people telling us they wished we would have died”.
