YouTuber Colleen Ballinger Announces She is Pregnant With Her Second Child

YouTuber Colleen Ballinger – popularly known for her character Miranda Sings – has announced that she is pregnant months after she suffered a miscarriage earlier this year.

On May 17, Ballinger posted a 13-minute long video titled I’M PREGNANT! onto YouTube – where she shared her exciting pregnancy news and addressed her miscarriage:

“I’m just so happy. I wanted this so bad. We’re so excited. We really were just trying and hoping for this. This is very exciting. That’s a very shocking thing to say because, if you’ve watched me at all in the last three years, all I ever say is I’m never getting pregnant again. That was the plan until I got pregnant. I got pregnant at the beginning of this year and unfortunately, I had a miscarriage and it was one of the most awful I’ve ever been through, if not the most awful thing I’ve ever been through”.

The tear-jerking video takes viewers through a full rollercoaster of emotions and features her friends and families reacting to her pregnancy announcement. Ballinger also revealed that she initially wanted to wait until she reached her first trimester to share the news publicly: however, due to her excitement of wanting to share the big news and speculation over her pregnancy after she accidentally uploaded photos where she is seen with a nausea band – Ballinger decided to take the plunge.

Moreover, Ballinger shared that she took multiple pregnancy tests to be 100% sure and that she wanted to extend her support to individuals who have gone through a miscarriage or are having difficulties getting pregnant:

“I took about a million pregnancy tests over the last few months, hoping that one would say positive, and every time it said negative, my heart shattered. I feel so grateful that it only took a few months for me to get a positive test because I know that there are people out there who try for years and years and years and continue to see that negative test. My heart goes out to everyone who has experienced that, or is currently experiencing that.”
