Instagram is set to host their first Creator Week – a three-day virtual event that will take place from June 8 to June 10. The event – which is invite-only – will exclusively host approximately 5,000 US creators and will educate them on how to build a career on Facebook and Instagram.
According to Charles Porch – the VP of Global Partnerships at Instagram – Creator Week aims to help creators build their community and help them grow their businesses:
“They have told us they need more information on how to do that, not just from us, but from other creators”.
Content Creators will get access to multiple professionally-led sessions – including: How to Supercharge Your Community, Media Training 101, How to Break Into Entertainment, How to Start a Podcast, and How to Get Discovered on Instagram. The three-day event will also feature a Burnout and Algorithm Myth-busting deep-dive chat and a Fund My Merch Line competition – in which creators can pitch their innovative products or business ideas to judges for a chance to win funding and mentorship support.
The Creator Week will also feature exclusive product announcements and keynote talks from top executives at Facebook and Instagram.
Are you included in the list of invitees? If not – don’t worry: Instagram will upload recap videos of their Creator Week sessions in a segment titled The Rundown on their @creators account.
