Adobe has launched their latest creator mentorship program ‘The Great Untold’ in partnership with Netflix. The program will be looking for 3 innovative and creative TikTok creators – who will be awarded with a $10,000 grant and access to Adobe tools and experts to help build their careers.
Adobe made the announcement on May 17 highlighting the importance of creators and the art of storytelling:
“Creativity doesn’t just open doors. It opens worlds. Storytelling has the power to transform the way we view one another and the world around us. When aspiring creators see role models like themselves tell their story, they are inspired to do the same, creating an opportunity for more cultures and perspectives to be understood and celebrated”.
The experts include well-known professionals such as David Talbert – a playwright, filmmaker and author, Lyn Sisson-Talbert – the co-producer of Netflix’s first live-action musical and Ryan O’Connell – the lead actor of Netflix’s Special. The winners will work alongside one of the mentors to learn more about the film-making process, acting, and script-writing as well as other nuances within the film industry. Moreover, the winners’ short films will be featured in a behind-the-scenes documentary series directed by Nadia Hallgren – who has previously worked as the Director of Michelle Obama’s Netflix documentary Becoming.
TikTok creators can apply for the mentorship program by sharing a 1-minute movie trailer on TikTok or WhatsYourGreatUntold.com before the deadline June 13, 2021.
