Twitter is testing out a new feature that would allow users to share their tweets with a select audience, instead of all of their followers at once.
According to SocialMediaToday, Twitter is debating a few ways that this feature could work: “One of the new processes Twitter is testing would be a variable audience control toggle within the tweet composer, which would also include a note on relevant tweets, signifying who can see them.”
As seen in the image above, similar to Instagram, Twitter could create a “close-friends” option, which would allow users to share certain tweets with a select group.
Another option could be what Twitter is calling ‘Facets’, which would enable users to create different users under a single profile.
What do you think of Twitter’s new idea?
