With Periscopes New Update, You Can Live Stream Anywhere

Periscope, the live-streaming app used mostly on Twitter has expanded its capabilities to now allow users and content creators to assume the role of a “producer” through its newly introduced program of the same name.

To the uninitiated, this basically means that users can now host live Twitter events by broadcasting from a variety of devices such as video cameras, desktop computers, webcams and even VR headsets.

All you have to do is download the latest version of the app, then The Producer feature will be available by clicking the “advanced sources” option, available in the settings app.

If you’re an influencer or a brand, this would be a great way to engage with your viewers, while bringing in new ones who aren’t able to attend an event or a viewing.

If you choose to use this, the Periscope app will now show you a preview of what you’re streaming before you begin, allowing you to edit footage. Another cool feature with this new version allows you to add graphics to your external footage, resulting in a live stream that is edited and fine-tuned to your liking, vaguely resembling a YouTube video of sorts.
