The cost of an influencer e-media license is Dhs15,000 and it’s valid for 12 months.
And influencers that take on any forms of paid or unpaid promotional work need a license if they want to continue to legally operate in the UAE.
This includes items, services and experiences an influencer may obtain for free from brands, marketers and companies. (i.e. “gifts”). Influencers that fail to comply risk being fined and having their accounts, blog and/or channels shut down.
So act fast, influencers, as the grace period is coming to an end. Otherwise, you might be handing over Dhs5,000 in fines to the NMC…
