Adventure influencer Ghida Arnaout (@monkyseemonkydo) is combining her love of the outdoors with a charitable cause: raising money for underprivileged children in Lebanon.
Known for her love of rock climbing and wake-boarding, Arnaout started climbing Island Peak mountain in the Himalayas on Oct 10.
Partnering up with BZKIDS (a non-profit youth organization) and her partner, Rami Rasamny (@ramirasamny) – and with the support of RYMCO, a Lebanon-based automotive company – the mountaineers have raised 3,682.00 of $13,624.00 – and have 37 days left to raise the desired amount.
They aim to feed and educate children in Lebanon and rescue them from poverty to give them a chance at a better future.
According to HelpforLeb.com “One in three Lebanese children, a third of the Lebanese youth population, lives in the lowest of the ebb of poverty and distress…”
In the meantime, Rasmany will be climbing Ama Dablam (6812m) as Arnaout scales Island Peak.
They are both using HelpForLeb.com (an online platform for causes across Lebanon “to help foster a spirit of personal engagement”) as a mediator for people who wish to help them fight the fight to donate one dollar for every meter up and down Ama Dablam and Island Peak.
Their journey will end on Nov 8. You can find more information HERE.
