Coming up with fresh, original content can be challenging for creators and brands – especially in 2019 when there are millions of accounts active across various social media platforms.
If something is working well for your competitors (or fellow content creators), it’s tempting to follow suit and adopt the same technique. But at the end of the day, there are only so many ways you can share a Story of your recent vacation or a shot of your products on social media.
The good news is Snapchat is now offering its users a new way to share their perspective with their audience with a limited edition, third-generation version of Snap Spectacles…
Introducing Snapchat’s Spectacles 3!
The Story-sharing platform unveiled Spectacles 3 yesterday, the latest version of Snapchat’s Spectacles sunglasses.
These souped-up sunnies boast dual HD cameras within the frames to empower 3D creativity and offer social media savvy fashionistas a suite of new 3D effects when sharing Stories within the app.
Snaps captured using Spectacles 3 seamlessly transfer in HD to Memories within the app to add new lighting, landscapes, and other magical effects to an entire scene with a swipe. They can also be exported to your phone’s Camera Roll as circular, horizontal, square and virtual reality formats for saving, editing, sharing, and reliving, anywhere.
How do Snapchat’s Spectacles 3 work?
A user rocking the spectacles can tap either button in the frame to shoot a video (up to 60 seconds continuously), or press and hold for a still shot. The glasses supplement high-definition videos with high-fidelity audio and an LED indicator light notifies subjects when they are being recorded.
According to Esquire Middle East “. . . the Spectacles boast 4 GB of storage meaning you can store up to 100 videos or 1,200 images at a time. Shot in 60 fps, videos are stored at 1,216 x 1216 pixels while photos come with a resolution of 1,642 x 1642.”
Spectacles 3 will be available in two different styles: Carbon, a monochromatic black with a semi-matte finish and high-gloss details, and Mineral, a tone inspired by cosmetic hues with a hint-of-gold frame.
The glasses will ship this fall and are available to pre-order now for $380 at Spectacles.com. Snap fans located within the Middle East will be able to purchase Spectacles 3 when the drop in November for AED 1,500.
