It’s been well over a decade since content creators started using a variety of platforms to turn their passions into livelihoods, sharing branded content with their audience.
Going into 2020 turning your hobby into a side hustle (or your own full-blown hustle) is the norm.
Facebook, being the OG social media platform that it is, has taken new measures to ensure its supporting content creators across its platform.Â
The platform will be rolling out Facebook’s Brand Collabs Manager—a marketplace tool previously only available to Facebook creators—for a select group of content creators with the purpose of helping those individuals who take on branded content collaborations and sponsorships.
They’ll now be able to share insights and engagement with brands and find partners that will resonate with their audience.
Jury is still out on the finer details of how content creators will be compensated for their work and how the platform will manage live campaigns with multiple content creators.Â
Overall, it will be interesting to see what will be in store for influencer marketing going into 2020, as Facebook and Instagram start dipping their toes into the water…
Stay tuned.
