Are you following this TikTok Famous Psychologist?

Admit it, as much as we love TikTok for it’s steady stream of funny videos and dance challenges, sometimes we need a break from seeing the overwhelming amount of silliness on the app.

We’re big advocates of diversifying our content and it’s super important to frequently switch up what you’re exposing yourself to on Instagram, Tiktok and just about any social media platform.

Dr. Julie Smith is a psychologist who has found TikTok fame after carving out for herself a very special place on the platform, where she shares mental health and psychology tips for her audience.

Having amassed almost 1 million followers, Dr. Julie has become known for her quirky yet informative videos which spread very positive messages by addressing common issues related to stress, body disorder and even anxiety.

Social media has become our source for just about everything! We get our news from Facebook, learn about fashion trends from Instagram and become aware of the latest dances from TikTok and we very rarely stop to think about just how much social media affects our every day lives and our basic understanding of things.

By following accounts like Dr. Julie, we are exposing ourselves to inherently powerful content that could ultimately change our minds for the better or influence us in a more positive way.

Next time you are about to click the ‘follow’ button on someone’s account, stop to think about just how this person’s content will affect you and if you even need to follow them at all. Take some time to be picky with your content choices and maybe even follow some pages like Dr. Julie’s for the sake of diversification.
