A day in the life of… Khaled Ali – Founder of KKoncept who is gearing up for his trip to the Middle East

The brand which was worn by influencer Farhana Bodi at the opening of Atlantis The Royal.

Social media influencer Khaled Ali has over 108K followers on Instagram and is gearing up for his visit to Dubai from Turkey. Having lived in Istanbul his whole life, Khaled is well-rehearsed when it comes to knowing people and places but isn’t afraid for a spontaneous journey abroad if temperatures plummet, or there is a client meeting.

Khaled is one of the founders of the brand KKoncept which is a chic and unique fashion brand empowering and focusing on highlighting the colour white. Adding small details to an oversized shirt or adding technical cuts to a jacket, the attention to detail is evident and presents a fun, yet daring line of apparel. As seen on Farhana Bodi in her latest event at Atlantis The Royal, KKoncept is growing further into the Middle East with mastermind Khaled and his team pushing behind the scenes. The brand is a combination of East meeting West, modern with classic, and tradition with a busy lifestyle – all of what represents Khaled Ali.

As the fashion and lifestyle influencer prepares for his next trip to Dubai very soon, he tells us exclusively that there is a “big change” happening for him besides having the brand KKoncept. Before he announces this to us first, we get up close and personal with the man behind the plan and see what he gets up to in his everyday – “day in the life of.”

I wake up at…

8:30 AM and there is no need for an alarm even after a long night out, I have a quick shower then take vegas and bobby (my dogs), for a walk for almost 40 mins every morning around the house which I consider it as morning cardio or warm up to start my day.

By 9:45 AM, I will have a nice warm cup of coffee as it is a must to start my day. Then, I’ll head to atelier to check on work, meet with the Designer and my partner Nali Barzani for my brand KKoncept. As part of my schedule, I would check with clients to discuss what is next to be done for any custom outfits or from our current line.

Now it’s 12:30 PM so I will have a quick brunch which can be avocado toast or some granola with a protein bar. Sometimes I will eat alone or with friends, or my sister so I can be ready to hit the gym for a couple of hours. It takes a huge time out of my day and I love it because it’s not only working out my muscles but my mental state of mind too. I go swimming 2 days per week and sit in the sauna and steam room to relax my muscles after training.

4:30 PM I walk around Nisantasi which is my favourite area and where I live in Istanbul. Nistansi is the most common area for coffee shops, and shopping, with well-known brands surrounding the location and hotels. I also meet my friends and clients here so we can enjoy the variety of local shops and say hello to people that pass us by as everyone is friendly here. I like to show the people that come here hidden places rather than touristic ones and Nisantani is one of those hot spots for me.

It’s now 9:30 PM and I will arrive home, take a quick shower and check on my dogs for food, and water. We will go out for 10 minutes before I start making calls to a few friends to come over for dinner or arrange to go out somewhere for a few hours if it’s during the weekday. I prefer them to come over as I feel more relaxed to stay home and have food, watching tv with them if they are okay with my plan! Haha.

At 1:00 AM after they leave my home, I start planning for the next day and see if there are any meetings with clients, companies, or celebrities. Most of the requests I get are from the Middle East, Istanbul, Beirut, and Dubai so I sometimes start planning for my Summer vacation out of nowhere just to feel the Summer vibes while it’s cold outside.

I’ll browse through social media before popping my earplugs in and getting to sleep – I’m quite a light sleeper so make sure I’ve zoned out properly with no distractions.
