It seems like quite a surreal thing to say in conversation to a friend or family member that you saw a “flying car hovering in the Dubai skies.” Was it just an illusion? Did we just see or hear about the next Back to the Future movie part 4?
The futuristic flying car was in fact a real 2-seater that was being tested in Dubai Marina on Monday late afternoon. The car, X2, emits zero carbon dioxide and was designed with a maximum flight speed of 130 kilometers per hour. As the world’s first public flight, the car completed a 90-minute test flight with a smooth lift and landing.
Dubai International Chamber hosted the test flight which had been architecturally designed by Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer XPeng. Equipped with a highly intellectual flight system, the X2 car emits zero carbon dioxide and is designed with low-altitude city capabilities. The success of the vehicle opens a new light on what the city is capable of and the modern way of living. It demonstrates the future of travel and how fast we are now entering the new era of technology.
Changing history, XPeng is one of the many companies who are presenting flying cars as not just futuristic, but a way of life and how we commute, work and live in the coming years. But what do the locals think of this “back to the future” device?
Your thoughts?
It seems as though the world is stunned by this latest invention as most media, press, and individuals are excited to get the news out rather than sharing their opinions on the launch. However, after deep diving into many tweets, we found some views of what people thought of the initiative.
