Nintendo announces new Nintendo Switch
The most recent in a series of Nintendo Direct events, which happened on Thursday, August 31st. The event, which presents information on upcoming content or franchises for Nintendo, has showcased several gameplay news over the past events. This time, fans of the company and the Super Mario Bros. games also got to witness some new hardware.
A new color for the OLED version of the Nintendo Switch was announced. The Switch OLED is getting a special Mario makeover to celebrate the release of the upcoming game Super Mario Bros. Wonder. The tablet will have a sleek red color scheme with a Mario silhouette and some coins hidden beneath the back panel.
The company has gone all out for the release of Wonder in October caps off a big year for Mario, which also includes a theme park and a movie.
According to the company, who posted on their X account about the update, the system features a console, dock, and Joy-Con controllers all in the iconic Mario Red color.

It will be available for purchase on October 6th, two weeks before the game’s release on October 20th. Preorders are already available from Best Buy and the company website.
