The regional app ‘Toothpick’ digitizes the dental world – an innovative platform for dentists.

In line with the vision of H.H Sheikh Mohammed on developing a ‘strategy [of] future prototypes for sectors including healthcare, education, social development and the environment’ (UAE The Cabinet, ‘Mohammed bin Rashid launches ‘UAE Strategy for the Future), Toothpick is digitalizing the dental world. Dentists are able to purchase healthcare supplies and compare prices at the best rates possible on the app which is the first of its kind and shows the technological advanced, forward-thinking concept. Co-Founders, Dr. Wael Bizri, Dr, Mohamed Hammoud, Dr. Mohammad Saad, and Mr. Malek Hijazi, developed the app using their expertise in dentistry, tech and business knowledge. Combined, they created a holistic and solution-oriented app. With an exceptional in-house tech department, the team are constantly updating the app to cater to the operational needs, while the business professionals adapt to grow and expand the continuously evolving, digital market.     

As the launch of the all-in-one app continues to grow, Dr. Bizri explains how it is one-of-its kind for its target market. He says it is the ‘first dental marketplace in the UAE, Lebanon, Egypt, and Qatar.’ The team is expanding to KSA & Europe in Q1 2022. With over 130,000 products on the app, Toothpick gives professionals the opportunity to browse through supplies and equipment. In addition to comparing prices and purchasing supplies easily, dentists can keep a close eye on the industry news, events & conferences.

Dr. Majd Naji, with over 1.6M followers on Instagram, is the official brand ambassador for Toothpick and is a success behind his own story. As the founder of Liberty Clinics for Dentistry – he is known as the “first choice of all the A-list celebrities in the Middle East.” Dr, Majd Naji has taken to his Instagram announcing his affiliation with the brand captioning his post, ‘Proud to be the representative of these giant names in the world of dentistry’. Influencer and Dentistry student Raghad Fahmi (@ragoodie) also follows Dr. Majd Naji, liking, commenting and supporting his posts on social media.

The rapid growth of the brand continues to rocket sky-high! Toothpick is planning to launch “Toothpay” in 2022 in collaboration with various Fintech Companies – a buy now pay later service that offers patients the option to pay for their treatments via multiple instalments with 0% Interest.
