Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, took to X on Friday with the news that Cristiano Ronaldo’s son has signed with Al Nassr U13 team. In his tweet he stated, “The agreement has been signed as Cristiano’s son will start training in the next days.”

According to Ronaldo, his son has always hoped to be able to run the pitch with his father professionally before he retires. “My son tells me: dad, hold on a few more years, I want to play with you!” Ronaldo says.

Georgina Rodriguez, Ronaldo’s partner and mother to the junior, celebrated the moment on Instagram. She shared a heartfelt collage of images from Cristiano Jr.’s debut on October 20th with the caption ‘Proud mom’.

It seems Ronaldo Jr. is following in his father’s footsteps nicely, as he won his first match with the U13 team against AlQadsiah with an impressive 6-goal victory. Ronaldo Jr. will also sport the number 7, just like his father.

The elder Ronaldo is widely considered one of the greatest soccer players of all time, and he is in the midst of his second season with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr after signing a $75-million-per-year deal through the summer of 2025 with the team in December 2022.

There’s a chance we’ll see father and son together on the pitch. Fingers crossed!
