THE DIGITAL ERA OF FASHION IS HERE WITH THE FIRST EVER METAVERSE FASHION WEEK

Influencer or not, you can still be a part of the four-day digital event.

Fancy cards and front row seats are starting to become a thing of the past, with digital fashion shows slowly but surely making their way into the fashion world.

Different brands such as Balenciaga and Gucci have already experimented with the newest technology individually; however, Metaverse Fashion Week will bring together dozens of fashion giants in the first ever virtual fashion week that will take place from March 24 till March 27.

In partnership with Decentraland, Tokens.com has signed a lease agreement” to host MWFW on the virtual property, where a considerable number of influencers and visitors will be capable of virtually living the virtual fashion show experience. The runway won’t be the only focus as live music sessions and after parties will take place in Decentraland’s latest Luxury Fashion District.

According to Decentraland, this area will feature:

shopping experiences by Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce&Gabbana, Elie Saab, Etro, Dundas, Jacob & Co., Franck Muller, Garrett Leight, Cavalli, Faith Connexion and Faith Tribe, Nicholas Kirkwood in collaboration with White Rabbit NFT, Merts Otsamo in collaboration with DressX, Monnier + Republiqe and Chufy. In addition, throughout the Luxury Fashion District, visitors will be engulfed in a sensorial experience of iconic Chinese couturier Guo Pei’s masterpieces presented by UNXD, and Auroboros + UNXD will present a unique fashion immersion.

To really dive into the new age of fashion, users’ avatars will also have the freedom to visit showrooms and stores or attend talks and events, making users feel as if they’re a part of a real-life fashion week; sounds fun doesn’t it?

The collections that will be showcased will be available for purchase and some will even have a physical replica, giving participants the chance to wear them in both the virtual and real world; however, to buy them in the virtual dimension, one would need an Ethereum wallet.

Fashion influencers’ dreams can also come true with a QR code that will also be available in virtual stores; when scanned, a virtual fitting session will appear on users’ smartphone cameras for them to try on a 3D render of the garments.

Last but not least, MVFW is opening its doors to everyone but some brands will preserve their VIP and front-row privileges to possibly recompense NFT owners with exclusive access or even free items.
